As innovation is, sometimes, a difficult concept to understand and implement, our understanding of it as a business process comprising the elements of Inspire, Create and Connect has proved to be appreciated as a model.

So, how well do you manage the process of innovation? We have devised a very simple self-assessment test comprising 30 statements to which we simply ask you to agree, agree strongly or disagree, disagree strongly.

When you have answered with your perceptions of your company performance against these statements, you will receive a bar chart of your performance against an 'ideal' performance model.

Please also be assured that any data you enter will be totally anonymous and will be treated as "Commercial In Confidence" material. When data is sent to the database it will accrue into all the other data for us to get a measure of the average UK innovation capability. Your name and that of your company will not feature in this aggregation process or be seen by any other organisation.

It is only of benefit to you if you value the statements honestly, but it is often illuminating to allow other members of your organisation fill in the questions. A very useful discussion can then take place as to the differences in perception between different individuals and different parts of the organisation.
